    Windows Live Messenger - Appcrash


    Hey guys, i recently changed from windows vista to Windows 7 32-bit and im having the same problem for a numerous amount of programs.

    The first problem i encountered was with Windows Live Messenger.. i downloaded and installed it, but when i ran the program it gave me an error.
    it said Windows Live Messenger has stopped working and under the details i got this:

    If anyone could help i would really appreciate it.
    Btw its also happening to my IE and Skype... i get the same error.

    If you uninstall WLM does your computer, IE and Skype work ok?
    Maybe something else causing the problem.

    no, I've tried reinstalling and repairing it..
    also i read somewhere that if i turn on DEP it may fix it and still no luck..

    If you do a search (upper right hand corner) for appcrash you will see a variety of problems.
    After I reviewed several of them it came down to a system restore back to when it was working fine.
    Make sure, as always, do a back up before any changes to your system.

    yeah that would make sense except it was never working fine.. i installed it 4 days ago and that same day i installed WLM but it never worked...

    I have the same problem .. done everything.. been searching online for solutions.. having no luck... I have 2 computers with windows 7.. and either one has messenger working.
