    Belarc Advisor


    Before I downloaded IE9 this report functioned. I tried to run it several times but
    no luck. Anyone else use this program

    What problems are you having with it? I hadn't run it for a couple of months or so, so it did need to download new data, but even though this took longer than I remember it taking before, it still worked as you can see above.

    It runs but all I get is a blank page

    Try downloading belarc afresh, then install and run.

    Did you right click Belarc and then click run as administrator?

    Strange. I've just run it again with no problems.

    Check to see whether or not a report is actually being generated. Without closing the browser page, browse to the following folder:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Belarc\Advisor\System\tmp

    There should be 2 files there: license.html and (User).html

    Are they present? Copy the second file to your desktop. Now close the browser page and double-click on the file that you just pasted on the desktop. Does this work?

    You don't have to. If run from an account without administrative privileges, you are prompted to enter administrative credentials. Running from an account with administrative privileges, you are asked if you want to elevate.

    I just ran it with no problem as administrator. I must have hit the open segment.
