    Live Messenger Won't Sign In

    Hey,

I've just reinstalled Windows 7 64bit, installed Live Messenger and it does not want to sign in

When I click trouble shoot, it says "your hosts file contains Windows Live Messenger related entries which may interfere with name resolution"...

Anyone got an idea, I click repair but it does nothing..

    Thanks

Does it give you an error code?

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following location: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

You'll see a couple of files in the 'etc' folder but we're looking for the hosts file. So double-click the file named 'hosts'. From the list of programs, choose Notepad and click OK.

    Kindly post a screenshot.
