    It didn't say end in the picture that this guy got: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Run it again, if you do not see the results, try seeing the results this way. It is the same for 7

    Its ok, try it again. If it ends the same way. Get the log as I show above.

    Im sorry we are all volnuteers, here, and do not do this for money. I will start over with you again tomorrow and we will fix it.
    For now try this
    In safe mode
    Safe Mode
    If you cannot fix it with System Restore try the repair install, shown below. You can do it in safe mode.

    Yeah, I logged on with Safe Mode again and it all worked. And when I try to do a system restore, the earliest restore point is 9/15/2010. I bought the computer in November of 09, and noticed the problem 2 months later. How do I restore it to a point earlier then the options it gives me.

    Step 7 will show how to view all your restore points. If the date that you need is not shown you will not be able to use System Restore to solve your problem
