    Java RE 6 Update 14 /Win7 Support


    This release is Windows 7 support-ready and includes support for Internet Explorer 8, Windows Server 2008 SP2, and Windows Vista SP2. New features include the G1 garbage collector, plus performance and security enhancements.

    Thanks for the update. Nice to see some of the big companies on the ball. Ive only bothered to install the 64-bit version rather than both this time. Looks like things have changed.

    You need it for anything Java-related.

    yes, that's what i know on my Xp but though virtual machine on W7 was better integrated...I did not tried yet oOo 3.1 on W7.

    I'm looking for the oOo 2.4 because it is integrated to IE8, not v3.1

    OpenOffice install java for it's own purpose, it is provided with.

    I thought it was taking them a while to make a new version of Java, thanks for the update Airbot. :) Running J6 Update 14 fine now.
