gdawilson,
could you help us to help you by completing your system specs?

HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS

In the line at the top of www.SevenForums.com you will see UserCP.
That is an abbreviation for User Control Panel.
Click on UserCP.
In the left-hand column, under Your Profile you will see Edit System Spec.
Click on Edit System Spec
You can copy and paste from the output of Speccy, Speccy - System Information - Free Download to fill out much of the info. Be sure to use the Other Info section of your System Specs for such info as your optical drive, your wireless adapter, your speakers, etc.

May I suggest, if a netbook is your primary machine, an external CD drive? I believe a repair installation is the best course of action as well.

Newegg.com - External DVD Drive, External DVD Burner, External DVD-R, External CD Burner, External DVD+R, External CD Drive

Also, I recommend a stand/laptop cooler.

For your netbook, to keep portability, I love these, but anything that puts the bottom of the laptop above a solid surface will help.

No. I have a netbook. Netbooks don't have c.d drives.

I also have a netbook. I also have a Win 7 DVD.

I also have an external CD/DVD drive which connects to a USB port. They are quite economical and simplify many operations.

I fixed my problem by restoring my PC to factory settings. And yes I backed up all of my data.

So this thread can be deleted/locked

We just mark it solved so it can still be read/replied to, such as now.

Glad it works, and you saved your data. Probably some random OS corruption...

Can't open folders

Hi, as of today I cannot double click on folders to open. I can do it by right clicking. When I do right click "Explore" is bold not open. I've ran though this tutorial Default File Type Associations - Restore but did help. Anyone know? I would rather not have to do a restore if I don't have to. Thanks!
