I hate to say this but from the looks of it you are running 64 bit with 4 gigs and trying to use a huge app to render. I did the very same thing and got guess what BSOD's.
What is the size of the render file, and @ what settings? 4 gigs on 64 big isnt a lot.
has it ever worked? what has changed if it did?
Do you have a backup from before the problem started? Do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install?
Let us know

edit: sorry I didnt see the app error below. The error is a memory exception (C0x000005) caused by 3dsmax.
I would run memtest to check the memory
Download a copy of
Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using
Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.
Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.
Then if it is still crashing run a system file check
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
