iTunes won't load

I just downloaded iTunes 10 for my computer. Whenever I try to load it, nothing comes up. It says that it is running in my processes, but I don't see the screen. Any suggestions?

PS I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it's not working.

Okay, I did some playing around. Not exactly sure what I did as I did multiple things, but I think it had to do with deleting the old preferences and that fixed it. It froze again, but I think the program 'Windows 7 Firewall Control' is causing the freezing problems (even though I allow iTunes to send outgoing and incoming information). Thanks Dinesh for the link! I checked there before and none of the steps worked but I guess if you do all of the steps together, it works!

Anyone here NOT start iTunes on start-up? I don't know why this would affect it, but I do NOT start iTunes at start-up and I was wondering if that screws it up. I've tried changing it back to start at start-up, but it doesn't change. But when I first download it, I can usually get it to work but then I stop running it at start-up and that seems to screw it up (just a correlation, not necessarily a causation).
