    Rocketdock not starting

Hey guys! I am having a problem with RocketDock. It has been working fine for me, but last night I added a "shutdown" shortcut to it, and after using that shortcut to shutdown since I usually get rid of my taskbar when I start the computer up, rocketdock won't open now. I tried finding solutions, and all I could find out was that someone else had a similar problem, that they couldn't start rocketdock up after restarting their computer. Any ideas on what I could do to start it up again and make it so that the shutdown button doesn't keep doing this? Any help is greatly appreciated

How did you install it, Just by letting the installer do the work or under a compatibility mode?

RD's site says it is not ready for x64 yet.

Have you seen this in RD's documentation?:
    7. Reset Options RocketDock Documentation
If for whatever reason you cannot access RocketDock's Settings and need to completely reset RocketDock to "factory default" settings/icons, follow these steps:
    • Press Control+Alt+Delete and use the Task Manager to force-quit RocketDock
    • If you are NOT using "Portable INI Settings" (recommended), follow these steps
      • Go to the Start Menu, choose "Run" and type "regedit"
      • Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
      • Delete the "RocketDock" folder

    • If you ARE using "Portable INI Settings", delete the file "Settings.ini" located in your RocketDock install directory (C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Settings.ini).
    • Run RocketDock, and enjoy!

    Rocket Dock at Boot

I have had problems at times with the dock not comming up on a boot. Once it didn't come up on a boot it never came up again unless I manually started it. I wrote a task in task scheduler to boot it at start up. I set it to run with highest priveleges so that what ever I launched from it came up with no UAC prompt. I am sure there are other fixes for this problem but it is the one that worked for me.

It works in x64, at least on my system. For automatic startup, you can either set it in the Dock Settings > General tab or you bring up the startup folder (type shell:startup into Start/search and hit Enter) and drag a shortcut of the RocketDock.exe (from Program Files x86) from the desktop into that folder.

Yes, I did see that but wanted to avoid doing that step. In any case, thank you all for your efforts, the second time I rebooted my computer rocketdock worked. I'll just hope that it doesn't happen again. As for the person who said they had to manually open it, I had tried to do that at the time and even that wouldn't open it :S

    Thanks everyone!

I had similar problems with RocketDock on my x64 system so I now use the free version of ObjectDock. You can get it from here. Stardock Corporation - Software - ObjectDock - Download
