    MS Project: Month = Week?

I'm using a Microsoft Project trial but as I think you can see in this screenshot, it isn't looking good:

It seems to have its idea of the length of a month incorrectly calibrated so that a month equates to a week. Similarly, weeks are shorter than they're supposed to be. What should I do?

    Hi

Try removing the end/finish dates - see if that works:)

Well you can't really remove them, 'cause something has to be there but I can click on the square and hit backspace. It hasn't fixed the issue. It's still got the wrong idea of how long a week or month (and possibly all other durations) are.

    But thanks for replying :)

Try changing the timescale to months instead of 7 days

It's already on months I tried switching to weeks and then back to months. No difference.

How about the duration? Enter the duration and the proposed start date only and then structure the dependency (2) after the system has auto-calculated the timeline for the first event.

If I specify "2 months" in duration, it changes to "2 mons" and the duration on the Gantt chart is actually two weeks.

I'm assuming that this is with the end date set as blank?
Is it the same with any project file i.e. could you try starting with a new file and checking whether this resolves the issue?
