Windows 7: msn log in procedure

msn log in procedure

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows how to streamline the msn messenger (Windows Live msn) login procedure?

As it is now on a new Windows 7 install, you click the msn icon in the start menu and the icon for msn appears on your task bar...then you have to click that icon on the task bar....then the window comes up asking you to login...you click that...then that msn window retires back to the task bar...you then have to click the icon in the task bar again to get the window with your contact list on it to appear.

Seems to be a lot of steps. On my XP Home PC, msn would come up like this: double click icon in start menu...window with contacts came up and stayed up...login...done...window stays up on screen until you want to minimize it.

Am I missing something?

thanks
