Previous version of Windows Live Messenger ?

    Hello,
I just updated my Windows seven and it installed Win Live Messenger2011 which I totally disalike (even more ads, to much "social" connection that I don't care about ...)

Is there a way to get the previous version back ?

    Thanks,
    Jan

I agree, I do not like it either. If you just downloaded, you can use system restore to return to the origianal mail client.

I don't have any restore points

I installed WLM 2009 with an offline installer, but when I try to login it reports this error. I did what's written on that page but it doesn't help.

If you do not like WLM2011, there are many more mail clients. You may like one of these. I know I will ge getting one of them soon
