Windows 7 gadgets stopped working, PLEASE HELP

Well for starters this is my first time on this website so sorry if i may have posted this in the wrong forum.

Well here's the problem, last week out of no where my gadgets stopped working this happened before but it was a simple. I feel like iv tried just about every thing to fix this and iv been searching and searching for solutions and it seems like nothing works. When this first happened i was worried i might have a virus so i scanned my PC and all's i found was a Trojan.

But so far iv tried uninstalling and reinstalling the the Windows Gadget platform in the Windows Features and it didn't work. i tried going into the regedit thing and doing some stuff i read off a different sight and that didn't work either. I also tried some other solutions i can't remember exactly but they didn't work either.

So if you could please help me, when i have computer problems and i have a hard time fixing it, it drives me insane.

Did you try the System Restore? I had a problem with mine, did a System Restore back to a date when it was working and it fixed the problem.
