Cannot Open Unless Administator. . . But I AM the Administrator! I have just installed Adobe InDesign CS2 and Corel Graphics Suite X3 on my new Windows 7 64-Pro system. They seem to install just fine. However, when I go to open the programs, I get the notifications saying: You are not allowed to continue because your account does not have the proper privileges. Please log in using an account with administrator privileges and try again.
The problem is that I am the administrator with full administrator privileges checked off (unless there is some secret thing I don't know about, which could be very likely since I am new to Windows 7).
Does anyone have any answers to this? | My System Specs |

Running a user account with admin privileges, for some reason that I don't fully understand, it is not the same as being administrator. Either go to the Properties of the shortcut, select the compatibility tab and select run as administrator or enable the built in administrator account and log into it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter

seekermeister, you are THE MAN. I changed the properties of the exe file. One more question. . . Now when it opens a warning comes up asking if it is okay for the program to change some of the system settings. I hit okay on Adobe Illustrator and then Windows 7 says that the Windows 7 colour profile was changed. When I closed the program, the screen flickered, which I assume was Windows 7 resuming the standard colour profile. My question is, any knowledge on whether a program like this can screw up Windows 7 OS at all? I'm assuming not. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Grown Desktop OS Windows 7 64 Pro CPU Intel E6850 Core 2 Duo @ 3.00GHz Motherboard Asus P5K-E Wifi AP Memory 4GB DDR2-800 OCZ Graphics Card GeForce 9600GT Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 226BW Screen Resolution 1600x1050 Keyboard Logitech MK300 Mouse Logitech MK300 PSU 450 Watt Hard Drives WD 500GB Caviar Black

Not being familiar with the program, I can not say with certainty whether is is okay or not for the program to change system settings, but if all that it does is to change the profile and it returns to normal afterward, I wouldn't be too concerned. A lot of programs will do that. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter
