    Move win7 to new hd

    Hey,

My mate is moving windows 7 to a new ssd disk. I have tried this on and off myself a few times but always failing. Is there a really good program that can actually do this well?

follow this guide to get your SSD if Cloned from a HDD Alignment right.

How to setup Core V1/2, Solid, Apex, Vertex SSD with aligned partitions using USB (if available on the drive) or SATA. Updated to show how to use Vista recovery disk

the just make a clone.. will be a 100% copy of the hdd inc settings ect..

Quickly and easily deploy a new hard disk on your PC or laptop: automatically migrate all data, operating systems, programs, settings, and everything else

its free for 30 days. but you will only need it for D1 ;/

also a few tuts on youtube..clone windows 7 to SSD

YouTube - CLONE & RESTORE A HARD DISK - ACRONIS

i like to clone my my win7 install every month since i have a spare 120GB (took for Xbox360) that way ive always got a 2nd ready to plugNplay hdd if i get any bad Times :) only takes 10 - 1hr depends on the size.. since SSD ain't really big yet it will take 10 mins..

    good luck..
