Windows 7 - Live Messenger question

Hello everyone,
I have a small question to ask,
i was using yahoo messenger for a long time, and decided to switch to live messenger, but there is a problem.. cant see avatars of my contacts now. is there any way to see avatars from the non-hotmail contacts? I have alot of contacts using yahoo and cant see there avatars

That's very strange.. I got a few people from yahoo and it works just fine..

what messenger are you using? 2009?

Hello, yes Live Messenger 2009, but ive also installed the Messenger Plus!...could that be the problem?

Well if your contacts are using old version of yahoo messenger then. you can't see avatars ofcourse... tell them to update o.O.

no it can't. Be sure to go in the layout options and undeer Other contacts select an icon to display:

definitely not the problem as I have it running with no problems.

The default is to show a small square online status indicator. But if you go to tools - layout, you can change that to show avatars.

Thanks for all your replies, yes ive done that in the layout options, but still no luck, here is what it looks like....hope im doing this right with attaching pics.

Ah i understand now what did you mean. Well, i don't know why, but sometimes it does the same for me but with HOTMAIL accounts, so i think it's because of the older version they use.
