    run.dll

Okay.. I am forced to find ways to fix my problems and I am suffering for many days and it goes like this.. My OS is Windows 7 Home 32bit.. My problem is, when I open my laptop and when the desktop displays, an ignoring message appears about run.dll and it says "An specific module not found" like that.. It started when my torrent, Frostwire's startup was not responding and I keep repeating it and there was no change until now! So I thought that, the message will continue to appear every time I open my laptop unless the Frostwire or other programs continue to work well.. So this is it.. How can I find the solution about this run.dll? I am hoping for your answers. tnx!

    THIS WILL REPAIR FILE ERRORS

    Perform a SFC Scan

    1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow

    2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    sfc /scannow

A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time

    3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Windows 7 DVD for this process to continue

    4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"

    5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

more information here How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

If a Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected. For example, some Windows functions may not work, or Windows may crash. The System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) scans for missing or corrupted system files and repairs them.

"FrostWire is a high quality and totally FREE BitTorrent/Gnutella client. A file sharing p2p (peer-to-peer) program for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux.

something tells me that you have a bad copy of the P2P software or someone has given you an early Holiday present in the way of a trojan or virus.

Highly recommend you uninstall frostwire and do some deep AV scans.

That is one reason that P2P is a very wierd area to get into due to the dark lord having control. <G>

This should disable Frost on Start up.

You will then be able to launch and close when you want.

Click Start> Control Panel> Administrative Tools> System Configuration> then click the Start Up tab.

You can see in the picture below step 1, 2 and 3 are in the above.

You can see in the picture Logitech, Google etc. in my list.

Find all instances of Frost in your Start Up list. Uncheck all Frost.

Click Apply- which is marked #4 in the picture.
Then Okay and close the open panels.

If you are prompted for a restart after clicking "Apply" do so.
I don't think it will but possible.

Ok, this is a RunDLL error, not a run.dll error. What is the exact error? For instance

Error loading C:\Windows\system32\(what name here?).dll The specified module could not be found.

Much easier to attach the specific error. A Guy
