burn dvd's

I still can't burn dvd's , but i can burn cd's , only music but no movies i tried everything converter X to dvd and nero 7 , aschampoo 9 but still fail. do i need to download mpeg 4 movies to create a dvd to burn them????/.

You cannot straight up plop a commercial encrypted DVD into your computer and make a copy of it. if that is what you are attempting to do, it will not work.

You first have to use a tool to get around the encryption to rip it to your hard drive. Then, you often have to take another tool to re-encode the original material and shrink it down from 6+GB down to under 4.7GB to fit on a standard single layer DVD.

What site are you downloading the movies from? Amazon or Netflix, or? These movies are copywrite protected.
