You cannot straight up plop a commercial encrypted DVD into your computer and make a copy of it. if that is what you are attempting to do, it will not work.
You first have to use a tool to get around the encryption to rip it to your hard drive. Then, you often have to take another tool to re-encode the original material and shrink it down from 6+GB down to under 4.7GB to fit on a standard single layer DVD.
