Windows 7: Flashget 3.7 help

Hi i just found this app to use for movie downloads of 7 gb + hd movies.
Is this app safe and how do i controll what it connects to .
Im a noob when it comes to this apps as the options confuse.

I'm testing the portable version as we speak (it's v2.0 tho)
It's pretty straightforward.But if you want it primarily for Torrents...there are better Apps out there.
I use it because of its ability to resume downloads (if the Server you download from supports it, that is)
Usually I do that with jDownloader but I am trying to get rid of Java..so I gave this one a try
