Problem with software interface language other than english

I recently downloaded a software which interface is written in Bulgarian and when I open it all the buttons and menus instead of appearing in Cyrillic are a string or question marks such as ?????? whose count depends on the length of the word in Bulgarian. Does anybody know how to fix that so they appear in Cyrillic? I've tried everything. I installed a Bulgarian language-pack update, I changed the OS language to Bulgarian and nothing. Please help. I'm attaching a screencap to my thread so you can get a better understanding of what I'm talking about.
