I use aida64 (formerly lavalys everest ultimate).
It is trialware, but if you know how to look on the net, there are registered versions available for download.
aida64 will do almost everything the products in the post above this one, save the 3dmark benchmarks. Code: http://www.aida64.com/ @ Francis93: that lavalys product is a dead product now. It is now called aida64 by FinalWire | My System Specs | | |

It is now called aida64 by FinalWire I know. There's nothing wrong with the Lavalys URL, because once you visit the website, you'll get notified on the front page that Lavalys has been acquired by FinalWire and that Everest is now AIDA64. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz Motherboard Asus P5KPL-AM Motherboard Memory 2x1GB Apacer DDR2 667 MHz Graphics Card 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT Sound Card VIA Technologies High Definition Audio Device Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 733NW Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Generic Plug & Play Keyboard Mouse Optical Mouse Case Custom Casing Cooling Ice cubes from the freezer ;) Hard Drives SEAGATE 320GB Barracudaź 7200.12, SATA 3 Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 16MB cache x 2 Internet Speed Very slow |

It is trialware, but if you know how to look on the net, there are registered versions available for download. Is this genuinely sanctioned as Forum policy... recommending this method of acquiring non-free licensed for-money software from other than legit means?
I hardly think this qualifies as "free software", as OP requested.

I benchmark with a stopwatch. Because unless the things that I actually do get faster, I don't see where overclocking really helps me.
For temps, I use CoreTemps64. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-Built in July 2009 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel Q9550 2.83Ghz OC'd to 3.40Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R rev. 1.1, F12 BIOS Memory 8GB G.Skill PI DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12 timings Graphics Card EVGA 1280MB Nvidia GeForce GTX570 Sound Card Realtek ALC899A 8 channel onboard audio Monitor(s) Displays 23" Acer x233H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard ABS M1 Mechanical Mouse Logitech G9 Laser Mouse PSU Corsair 620HX modular Case Antec P182 Cooling stock Hard Drives Intel X25-M 80GB Gen 2 SSD

pparks I like the coretemp64.
Right now I'm at about 32C which I guess is pretty good. I think the max for the 955 is 66C not 100% though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custome Build 1-1-2011 OS Windows 7 OEM Home Pre. x64 CPU Phenon II x4 n955 Black Ed.
