| | Help Me Locate A Program I have a program pinned to the taskbar and I need to locate where on my computer the program files reside. However, in the past when I have unpinned a program the icon vanishes. Right-cliking on it does not give me the usual 'open file location' dialogue and inputting the name into the Start > search field gives no results. However, the program does work so I know it's 'somewhere'. thnx, |

| Vista and Windows7, sometimes Ubuntu and Fedora | There should be a shortcut in All Programs on which you can right click to find the location. If it is a system program, it might also be in the system32 folder. |

| Vista and Windows7, sometimes Ubuntu and Fedora | Picture 1 - If you can find the program folder in Start > All Programs, click on the program folder. That will show the program on which you right click and click on Properties. Picture 2 - shows where you see the program location (in the picture is the example of the Deskpins program) |

| | All you have to do is hold the shift key while right-clicking the pinned shortcut. Be sure the program is not running at the time. This will bring up the full context menu. |
