installation and un installation problem in skype

i have dell inspiron laptop running windows 7 64 bit which came preconfigured with skype version 4.2.i updated skype to version 5.0 but this time while upgrading i gave path for program files as my E drive.

now today when i tried to upgrade skype to 5.1 it always gives me "skype is already installed in another location.please uninstall it first".the problem is i cant see skype listed in control panel/programs and features so i dont know how to uninstall it.

also in my hurry when i upgraded my skype 4.2 to 5.0 as stated above i gave the path for program files as E:/program files instead of E:/program files/skype as per norm.now what i can see is skype exe is in E:/program flies/phone(how this folder came into being i dont know????)

so please suggest me how to completely uninstall skype so i can install latest version

edit:i already tried 3rd party programs to uninstall but to no avail

any help will be appreciated

I´m using Win 7 built 6.1.7600, and skype just won´t connect. I get an error saying it can´t connect. I´ve tried the latest version and old ones, just have the same problem. Anyone know what to do? Or I just give up on skype??!!
Thanks
