    Skype problem

    Hello everyone

I have been using skype with my girlfriend for quite some time now and we both have the same version the latest one 5.0.0.152 i believe.
Everything was working fine but now she says that my video and sound freeze up at random points for a few seconds a couple of times and the resume normally.
Not her or me are using any download software or have opened browsers or anything, we both have fast internet connections.
Whats strange is that i can hear and see her normal at all times but she is having trouble seeing and hearing me at some points, it happens quite often infact in every call.
I have checked my ports are forwarded properly. It has been working before fine but when the last version came out it seems to act up like this.
Oh and one more thing, i noticed that every time that happens my green skype icon in the right bottom screen goes to gray and says connecting but i can still hear her and see her fine but she says my picture freezes up and she doesnt hear me.
Ive tried skype something like skype support but it seems that its not very active maybe if anyone had the same problems could help me.

    Thank you for your help!

I have and to post it to some skype developer site which i did but it doesnt seem very active.
I had a thought that this might be the problem with skype version 5 for everyone cause Ive seen many people complaining that skype 5 has problems.
We tried reinstalling from scratch and nothing helpes.
Is there any software that can come in comflict with skype?

well it only came out of beta a short time ago so there are likely to be some bugs still while its tested out in the field with the users i would report it as a bug to them so they no what problems you are having, it all helps the development of it post back and let me no how you get on

I´m using Win 7 Professional built 6.1.7600, and skype just won´t connect. I get an error saying it can´t connect. I´ve tried the latest version and old ones, just have the same problem. Anyone know what to do? Or I just give up on skype??!!

i find the best solution is to uninstall and reinstall but if you have tried this and have no success in connection run a SFC Scan details below this may help

    Perform a SFC Scan

    1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow

    2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    sfc /scannow

A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time

    3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Windows 7 DVD for this process to continue

    4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"

    5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.
