Can't Remove Zynga URL shortcut from PC

When I installed my new motherboard drivers I think it came with some "zynga" link and even though I delete it, when I log back into windows it always reappears.

Does anyone know how to permanently remove this.

The link is made by a program that is still installed.

I had the same garbage though I don't remember what it downloaded with.

Like when you get a Yahoo toolbar in a download as I did with my HP printer driver two days ago.

Go to Start> Control Panel> Programs and Features and see if there is a Zenga listing. If so delete it.

Let me know and we will search further if necessary.

I presume the link is a desktop icon perhaps?

Once the program is gone the icon will disappear or can be deleted seperately.

Yeah, its a desktop and taskbar link. It's really annoying though. I don't expect gigabyte to be including this level of spam with their software. If I do have any luck I'll certainly post back and let you know. :)

OK, I think I have managed to get rid of the shortcut. It is attached to another program called SmartView. I uninstall SmartView and the shortcut automatically disappear :)

If you try reinstalling Smart View there may be an option to uncheck so it isn't installed.

Also when you click to install usually the first window gives you a choice install here or Custom install. You may be able to go Custom then uncheck Zenga there.
I don't have the software but selecting Custom install is usually a way to find the junk to uncheck before it is installed.

They hid it in my Asus software also. It was either installed in Programs and Features or the C Program Files or may be in C Program (x86).
If in Program(x86) just right click and delete Zenga.
I remember it was a pain to find and very annoying.

    Hope that helps.

The best way to get rid of this annoying link without having to uninstall the SmartView program is to remove the Zynga folder from the SmartView plugin directory, it is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\DeviceVM\SmartView\plugins\.

This should solve your problems, the shortcuts wont appear anymore! It's crazy that they allow this sort of virus-like plugins...
