    Need a partition program

I have two 250GB HDDs and one of which is split 116GB in two partitions. I am wanting to merge the partitions together to have the one big partition for my steam games. But does anyone know and free and reliable software that can allow me to do this?

The standard recommendation is Partition Wizard. I think there are paid and free versions and I'm not sure that the free version can do what you need. There was another thread here recently discussing that. Go to their web site and take a look at the documentation or download the free version and see if it's possible.

Paragon Software also makes partition tools---some of them free as I recall.

You should be able to do it with Windows own tools if you can get the data off of one of the partitions temporarily. Then delete that partition. Then expand the remaining one to take up the space left behind.

Disk Management should be able to do that. Else this (very good): BEST FREE Partition Manager Software for Windows supports all 32-bit & 64 bit Windows No-server OS.

1- Move the data from partition 2 (Temporary)
2- delete partition 2 from disk management tool (free utility in windows 7)
3- extend partition 1 to be 250 GB.
4- restore your data again to the merged partition
5- You are done. Enjoy your games

GParted is free and not just a Linux tool. Works with several different file types and is, of course, free. :)
