Can't uninstall Quarxpress! HELP!

Hi everyone,

I am working on a new Dell Inspiron with Windows 7. I recently installed the trial version of Quarkxpress...I'm a creative designer and always use InDesign for layout purposes now but I just thought I'd have a look at the new Quark for nostalgic purposes, that and to open some old design files that had been set up in Quark.

Since I will never really be using Quark again and the fact that it seems to have sucked up a lot of my hard drive space I want to uninstall it. However when I go to do that I get this message:

"Error opening installation file..."

or:

"Please wait until the program has finished uninstalling or being changed."

The thing is it isn't uninstalling, nothing happens. How do I get round this...I fail to believe that Quark would write something into their software that disables the ability to uninstall their software!

Thanks in advance.

Marc
