| | Old win XP program only works in Safe Mode on Win 7 An old windows program only runs in safe mode in Win 7, but worked fine in XP. The start up exe file looks for a set of files in a sub-directory, but it seems as if something in Win 7 is directing it to another directory. There is no ini file as far as I can see, and it works just fine in Win 7 safe mode. Could Win 7 be forcing the exe file to look at some other default directory which does not happen in safe mode? Is there any TRACE that could show me where the program is looking so I can move the files there? Thanks. Gene |
