    Java Updates Won't Install

I am unable to install Java updates. If I uninstall my current version of Java, I can easily download the latest version, but cannot do just the updates themselves. Any ideas?

I believe, it's Java itself messing that up (I kept getting update requests and when I said yes, an update couldn't be found ...I got sick of it and kicked Java
Are you sure you really need Java?
Then I suggest you remove the old stuff with JavaRa Documentation
And then go here to identify and download the version you need

    Verify Java Version

Java offers quite a bit of help on its Sun website. In addition to the links that SledgeDG provided, here are a few others:

    Java Help

To find out if Java is working on your system visit: Test your Java Virtual Machine (JVM). You can go to the Java website for the most recent Java downloads.

Java downloads page: Java Downloads for All Operating Systems

If you use 32-bit and 64-bit browsers interchangeably, you will need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit Java in order to have the Java plug-in for both browsers.

After installing Java, restart your browser and Verify Java has been installed correctly. You can verify that it has been installed correctly by clicking Verify Now.
