    Uninstall Windows live essential

    Hello,

I downloaded Windows live Essential to install the new messenger but when I want to run it I am getting "the program can't start because wldlog.dll is missing from your computer".

So I am trying to Uninstall it now but I can't see the windows live essential anywhere, no in Unistall programs or Your Unin-staller!

What to do? I hope you can help me.

    Hi Iceman6

Usually you can just remove selected parts of WLE in programs and features. Are you saying you dont have this option. Is it not listed in your installed programs. You could do a system restore to before you installed it.

Try this System Restore your documents will not be effected just restore back to before you installed it.Then run sfc/scannow from an elevated cmd window and see if this repairs the missing .dll file and try to re-install. SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Thanks, but that didn't solve anything, because the last system restore was after installing Essential 2011

Try running sfc/scannow anyway and re-install
