    Trying to uninstall from the control panel


    This is an older program that I installed on Win 7, but when I try to uninstall from the control panel I get this message...

    Try using Revno, the free version for 32 bit. I think that is what you have
    Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily

    Also if it uses the Windows Installer there may be some scrambled data. On MS site somewhere there should be a Windows Installer Cleanup Tool for download. Maybe if you look at the uninstall string you can tell if it's Windows Installer based.

    I remember when I first got Vista I'd run a program and it would ask me if I wanted to install it when it was already installed. The cleanup tool fixed it.

    I don't know if W7 had the same issue.

    BTW how does a thread get marked as resolved? Can only a mod do that? I have looked for a way to do this but couldn't find any.

When you go to your User Account , open Control Panel and click on Install/Uninstall, does it list programs that the User Account downloaded or does it list programs for all accounts, including Administrator Account Downloads?
