    VB Script ... error 2738 ...32 bit

I've been trying to upgrade one of my favorite programs, and I get "2738 access VB Script un time for custom action"
I"m tried all the help from the program's forum, and either their suggestions haven't worked...or, I guess I could have done them incorrectly.
The only help I got from their tech. support is I had to access the forums to get help...period.
This program is acting up, I hope the upgrade will help this(bugs!!). There has been two or three upgrades since my version.
I've noticed in the past years this program isn't at all happy with system restores, or uninstalling.

Welcome to Seven Forums JaniceRL. It will help greatly if you tell us what the program is that is generating the 2738 access VBScript runtime for custom action error. A Guy

Thank A Guy, I didn't name it because I've loved it for years and so many of the techy people just find it irritating.
    The program is: Incredimail 2
    Thanks

I'm not techy, I'm just A Guy :) Look here, see if any help:

error code 2738 could not access vbscript runtime for custom action, when try to install 'incredimail 2'.

    And Here:

They specifically mention McAfee, do you use it?

Incredimail forum is where I came from, but I'll look again at the error code link you gave me. I used to have McAfee about five years ago, but I did go back to their site, and do the super cleaning, rebooted and still got the same error.
Yes, I know you are "Just" A Guy, but I have found there are many people that don't enjoy graphics like I do. I used to have people ask me to send plain email when I sent jokes, and I told them to block me if they didn't want my stuff. Unfortunately I'm a stubborn old coot.

I put a signature in this forum, but it didn't take I guess, and now I can't find where that was....I look under my profile with no luck.

Click on UserCP at top of page, then on left side under Settings and Options> Edit Signature. Note the maximum size for signature near the bottom where the save button is. A Guy

I followed the .dll registering direction for the second time and was successful, but I had no luck with the IM installation.....I'll try the the "change the register" instructions tomorrow when I can copy them...I'm rather timid when changing my registry.

Make a backup 1st, and it can't hurt to make a restore point before either.

    Back up the registry
