How to Download Programing Software, error windows live movie maker

Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite L655 Lap top running Windows 7. I have been on a web site wouxun.com website trying to down load a programming software provided for free for my Hand Held Radio I purchased from them; KG-UV8D Programming Software.

The problem I am having and a difficult time to resolve is when I am trying to download the software windows live movie maker pops up as if it was the designated program selected to download the software and you can view what I see with the attached screen shot document I provided.

How do I resolve this issue? I tried to figure out if it is a default settings, but I was unsuccessful to correct or resolve this issue. I am also unable to right click on it to where a selection may give me the option to "Open With", but no selection is provided after right clicking on the download. If there is someone computer savvy who can assist me your help, time and support will be gladly appreciated with great gratitude.

The error I get when trying to install the software is window live movie maker keeps popping up to try and download the soft ware, but I want to download the software with another program, but I don't know how. During downloading process Windows live movie maker pops up and presents this: "Movie Maker Doesn't support the selected File"

What can I do?

I just right-clicked and chose to save it. It's a .rar compressed format file and you may need a compatible program to decompress it before use. Look for a free one here. 7-Zip is good but may not be able to open the latest version of .rar.

You're welcome. There's a number of programs that Google Search can find. One I like on my Mac OS X is Zipeg, says it works on Windows also but I have WinZip on Win7.
