Windows Live Mail different in Win7?

I have installed Windows Live Mail, but something seems to be different about the design.
The "tool line" you can customize has only text, but no icons. (like f.i. the red cross next to "delete").
As I recall using Live Mail in XP, there was icons next to the text. Is it possible to activate these icons again?

If you notice above that line is a partition separator line. If you hover the mouse over it it will light up indicating that you can maximize or minimise the list of icons to either horizontally as shown in Johns image or vertically (the default).

The missing icons should be on this line:

I have made an example with "Delete" and a red cross

    Hello Sven,

I believe this was changed in this latest 14.08.8064.0206 version of Windows Live Mail, or the one before. It seems to be the same in both Vista and Windows 7 for me.

Oh ... does that mean that the icons is not there at all? Or is it just disabled by default?

Yeah, unfortunately the icons were completely removed from there.

Where do we complain about this? Okay, at Microsoft I know, but does somebody have an emailadress for the "windows live mail" team?
