    PeerGuardian2

    Hey,

I was wondering if anyone has ever been successful in using PeerGuardian2 with Windows7.

    Phoenix Labs » PeerGuardian 2

The first listed file mentions that it is for Windows Vista or 7, however I have been unable to get the program to work. It seems to install normally, then when I go to open the program it gives me an error message saying the following:

"PeerGuarian is unable to load the packet filtering driver. This could happen is PeerGuardian crashed and didn't have a chance to unload the driver, or the file pgfilter.sys can't be found".

Then, a little bit further down:

    "class driver_error"
Start service: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

It seems like its missing a driver however I have been unable to locate any website with a compatible driver for Windows 7. I have also seen some topics about this on various forums that involved disabling integrity checks using command prompt, but for most people that still did not solve the problem.

If anyone knows of a way to get PeerGuardian2 to work with Windows7 please let me know.

Have you tried using the PeerBlock?

It runs well on Windows 7. and is a great alternative to Peer Gaurdian.
