    Problem with iTunes

I installed iTunes 10.1.2 onto my computer after the apple software update crashed twice. I've had to uninstall, reinstall it because of that. When I finally got it working and pinned it, I found that the pinned icon reads iTunes (3) rather than just iTunes. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong or how to fix it.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Welcome cyrce to the forums.
What the (3) means normally is that the shortcut is the 3rd iteration of a shortcut to itunes.
some could be shortcuts to the older version of itunes.

Best way is to delete all the itunes shortcuts and make a new one to the itunes executable.

you can right click on the start menu item for itunes and selecting
pin to taskbar and you should have the correct one on your taskbar.

I did as you said, remaking all of my iTunes shortcuts. However, after unpinning iTunes from my taskbar and repinning it, it still says iTunes (3).

EDIT:: Ah, nevermind. I found the previous iterations. I found them in:
    C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\Taskbar\

Good and thank you. Now we know where to look for any pesky shortcuts. :)
