    7-Zip "Issue"

Well, this is a small issue, but is there a way I can change what the Icon for what the file associated with it looks like? Like if you have a .RAR File, and it's default program is WinRAR it has a Books for it's default icon, but if you associate them with 7-Zip it looks like a white paper.

As I said, is there anyway to change what that looks like? I'd like for it to look like the actual 7Zip Icon instead of the white paper with a mini 7Z icon.

The only method I know to force a icon change is to use resource hacker and basically insert the new icon in place of the old.
Download Resource Hacker 3.5.2.84 Beta / 3.4.0.79 Free - Analyze, change, add, erase or extract resources in EXE and DLL files - Softpedia

There is more than likely a easier way, but that's the only one I've used personally.

Thanks for the Tip. Turns out I did it wrong. I had to go through 7-Zip then click "Associate with File" and it gave me a better Icon. What I did was Right Click the File then click "Open With".

Ah, yeah I had a similar issue with .torrent files, same solution had to go inside the program and associate.
