Playing MP4 files with 'z01' extensions

Hi All

I am currently running Windows 7. Is there a way that I can play MP4 files with a 'z01' extension? Media player says that it does not recognise te format. Is there anything that I can download to help. or another programme that will play the files?

Thanks

The z01 extension usually means it is the first part of a zip archive, usually from winzip. It may well be the first part of a multi part archive (zip file), and is not a complete MP4 file. You can try changing the extension to MP4 and see if it will play, but if not, it's likely the scenario above. A Guy
