    3.0.5 win 32 but i have used the win 64 verision aswell and it is coming up with the same problem

    I had a similar problem. In the Microphone properties, I think and can't boot to 7 right now to check since the PSU in that rig failed, you can uncheck a box that allows programs exclusive control over the hardware. This did it for me...

    Running vent x64 under RC7100 x64 here with no issues (onboard sound). Only game I play currently is WOW.

    Hello I have friends with this issue as well can you please explain how you fixed it so everyone on the world wide web will find this? lol Saying that you fixed the issue & not telling people how you did it is kind of lame lol.

    I found a few fixes for this if anyone surfing the web is looking lol.


    1. Set Ventrilo to “Run as administrator”
    2. Set Ventrilo to emulate Windows XP SP2.
    3. Set your game, EQ2, to “Ignore Windows Hotkey”

    I did what you said first, run ventrilo as admin which worked perfect for me and my mate
