Weird problem with Norton internet security and coding

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this, but I'm very concerned with something I've noticed with Norton Internet Security for windows 7....

I was doing some openGL/SDL based coding in C++ (using the Bloodshed C++ compiler) and when I tried to compile and run my program, Norton stated that the application was a "risk" because "less than 10 people have used this program"... Well OF COURSE less then 10 people have used something I just compiled! But it deleted the compiled application anyway...

I decided to turn off "Norton Sonar scanner"... easy enough... but what worries me is if I upload anything new, will people with this form of internet protection not be able to run my work? I'm a tad confused... it felt a little "anti-developer" to me

Is this something I should be worried about?

Sometimes if you disable Norton Auto-Protect, and Insight scan it after you use it, it will class it as normal/safe. Otherwise just keep Norton Auto-Protect off and do what you're doing :)
