shortcuts won't open: elevation necessary
OS: Windows 7 Sp1 Premium Edition, 64bit.
I just upgraded my OpenOffice 3.2 to OO 3.3
Now, none of my OO shortcuts work.
Clicking on them, I get: The requested operation requires elevation.
Looking at the users and the security/shaare rights to the program, I see all the users and their level of share rights. (btw, Should I have in my user list "everyone?")
I am logged on as an admin (not real Administrator).
The shortcuts worked prior to the update. I own the program, files, & shortcuts.
I can still directly access the files. I do not have to use "run as administrator." Only the shortcuts will not allow access & there is no "run as admin" on a right click.
I have lots of shortcuts on my desktop to various saved files in OpenOffice.
I saw on this forum a thread and instructions on how to create shortcuts without turning off UAC;
however I don't want to "re"-create them.
There are too many. And I don't want to disable UAC.
(It's strange that only the shortcuts to this program lost their rights.)
How do I return the shortcuts to work as they were--Not needing "elevation"?
