    Java severe issue on Seven

    hi all,
i'm on Win 7 Pro 64 bit and i cant get JRE running.
I tried everything: removing it, cleaning registry, using JavaRe tool, installing both 32 and 64 bit, disabling Kaspersky Antivirus, reinstalling all brosers: nothing.
Install seems ok, but when i try to open Java console in Control Panel i get this error:

    "C:Program Files|Java|jre6|bin|javaw.exe
    -Xbootclasspath/a:"C:\ProgramFiles\Java|Jre6|bin\..\lib\deploy.jar"
    -Duser.home="C:\Users\Paolo" com.sun.deploy.panel.ControlPanel

It's not even clear what's about, since it doesnt mention any explicit error.
Is i make a Java check online, browser (Chrome, explorer, Firefox) hang and i must kill them from task manager.
    Any idea ?

    Thanks in advance,
    P

Do you really need Java? Being it is the number one attack vector for the bad guys, I uninstalled it last month and I have not needed it for any programs I use. Just a thought.

well, there are some webpages based upon java (like my Fax provider) and i think i need it. but i'd like to understand what causes this; i've other issues on Seven, maybe they are related.
Overall i'm disappointed with Seven, issues and incredibly slow lan transfer make me want to downgrate to my good ol' XP.

The first thing I would do is to go to the Java (Sun) diagnostic link to find out what reason Java gives as to why Java isn't working properly on your system.
To do so, visit: Test your Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
Then I would check which version of Java you currently have on your system: Verify Java Version.
Then I would check the Java Help section for help for your problem from Java (Sun).

    Hi,
if i follow the link browsers hang totally, i have to kill them from task manager. Anyway it's a fresh java install, i have latest version. Sadly, Java help doenst help at all... no mention of a case like mine.
One thing, Java control panel starts if i run this cmd "javaws -viewer". From control panel's icont i get the above error. On the web i found several cases exactly like mine, but no one was solved. Hope there's something cmore i can do about this, before formatting system.
