Ugly it is! Clicking the Compact View up near the minimize button helps, but it is still not as clean previous version. | My System Specs

Yup, that is because eBay bought them and is ruining them. Skype keeps making each beta of version 4 more and more like the old version 3.X line though, I think they are getting an ear-full from their testers. | My System Specs

They are - I am one of the testers and I have clamored about this since the first beta put that new screen - and I told them in *no* uncertain terms to get rid of it or a *lot* of use would stop using it.
Every time a new version comes out I send feedback - and this one with the compact view is actually pretty nice, because the conversations button and other new features actually *do* enhance the old compact view - I think they are pretty close to having this thing done.... | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number The Beast Model V OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Core i7 965 EE @3.6 GHz Motherboard eVGA x58 Classified3 Memory 3 * 4GB Mushkin Enh Redline CL7 DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) Graphics Card eVGA 560 Ti 448 Core Classified + eVGA GTX260 SSC (PhysX) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio (on-board) Monitor(s) Displays 2 * Acer X213Wbd Screen Resolution 2 * 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Keyboard Mouse Logitech Performance Mouse MX PSU ThermalTake BlackWidow TX TR2 850 W Case ThermalTake Level 10 GT (Black) Cooling Corsair H100 CPU | 2 * TT 140mm TriLED | 2 * Antec TriCool Hard Drives 1 * Intel Cheryville 520 180 GB SATA III SSD |

hey guys! i'm new here.
my problem is: i've got skype 4 beta to be able to get it working on win 7 (build 7000, 64bit). the program works actually fine, but i don't hear any audio which skype produces: no skype sounds and - in particular - nobody who is calling me... skype shows that there is sound (green bar in audio settings), but i can't hear. the same happens to the person who is calling me: he cannot hear me at all.
are there drivers missing? if yes, could you send me a link?
i hope you can help me,
julson
PS: windows sounds and audio/music in general works. | My System Specs | | Skype not working in windows 7 x64 build 7000 problems? All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:24 AM.
