StandaloneStack 2 with network folders problem

Ive got standalone stack 2 and im trying to use it with folders in a network drive. For some reason i can get it to work but cant use any of the customisation settings such as display in grid view instead of stack and open folder on click. It will work fine with folders on the PC.

Has any one found a way around this?
