How to set an individual application as "trusted"?
I have an application (Comodo's Killswitch.exe) which I would like to set in place of Windows Task Manager (WTM). Prior to this current goal, I have been using Sysinternals System Explorer as a replacement WTM application - setting the option in Process Explorer to "replace WTM" worked fine such that right-clicking on the Windows 7 taskbar brings up System Explorer instead of the standard WTM.
However, when I ask Killswitch.exe to replace WTM and then right-click etc. on the task bar, I get a warning that says "the requested operation requires elevation".
I know I can downgrade UAC but that of course is a global effect. What I want to do is keep the UAC setting at maximum, but tell the OS to elevate the trust assigned to Killswitch.exe.
Setting it to "run as admin" has not worked - what do I do instead please?
Thanks for pointers on this topic.
