[SOLVED] Windows Live Movie Maker Crash

    Hello,
That problem only started recently after updating windows live essentials...
The problem is when trying to edit the timeline in windows movie maker, the whole screen goes black and mouse and keyboard not responding anymore...

Only way to get out of this black screen is the restart button in my case
This never happened before with any program or video, only with windows live movie maker...

My video card is HD489, already using the latest drivers 11.2, Re-installing doesn't solve the problem.
    Any ideas?

My guess is a codec issue. Unlike the previous movie maker the live movie maker has given me endless pain and suffering with various formats. What is the format of the video you are dealing with?

    Solved the problem.
Rolledback to older catalyst driver version 10.12, although it's good now I've got a bad feeling about this problem.

For viewing I recommend the cccp codec kit.
For editing the klite pack is probably the most robust.
I DO NOT suggest having them both installed at the same time though, it's either one or the other.
