CADKEY 98 installed on Windows 7

I am trying to install Cadkey 98. I already know that it is too old to install directly. It is no longer supported by teh original manufacturer.
My client advised we could revert the OS back to Windows 98 in order to install teh software.

However, I don;t know if that measn my entire computer will then run in the older OS version or the newer. I don't want my computer running the old OS.

How can i install this older software and still keep my current OS?

Welcome to 7forum a02072000,

""My client advised we could revert the OS back to Windows 98 in order to install the software."" Yes this mean installing Windows98 after uninstalling current OS.
But if donot want to this then you can try software like VMware/Virtual Box, now these s/w acts like another HDD (an virtual Hard Drive Disk) on your computer which means you can run another OS without uninstalling or harming the original & current OS on your computer. Then you'll be able to run CADKEY98 in virtually in your virtual Windows98 & still keep your Windows7 or any other OS.

Hope this resolve your issue!!!

There is a 2D version of KeyCreator (formerly CADKEY) available for short money that was written for Windows 7. You can find out about it from sales@kubotekusa.com . It is not advertised on the website.
