    Uninstall entire Windows Live

Can I uninstall the entire Windows Live suite from Win 7 x64? I use none of the programs in it and it just occupies space and loads in memory as shown in Task Manager. I see posts on how to uninstall individual items but not the entire WL suite.

Hope this is in the right place as I'm new to this...

You can of course uninstall it in Control Panel>Programs and Features, however turning off it's components in msconfig>Startup will remove it from having any effect on your System while leaving it's choices there if you or anyone else ever need them.

While in msconfig>Startup, I would uncheck everything except AV and gadgets/stickies. All others are freeloaders on your RAM, CPU and Startup and can spy on you. If you want to know what a specific component is, google it's identifier - but none are really needed unless you have a HD or battery tender on a laptop. Startup Programs - Change - Windows 7 Forums

Once you turn off all the freeloading startups and restart, you can go into msconfig>Services, hide all MS services, then see what else is starting up and running without your knowledge so you can hunt them down and turn them off in Preferences, or uninstall them.
