    I just noticed, on the FileHippo site, that you can download Launchy. However, it is not listed in the detected programs when FileHippo Updater runs. What gives?

    File Hippo only has a limited selection of software, they are apparently very selective about what they take on board. For some things their update checker doesn't work.

    My pleasure. If you want to stay on top of updates then try this;

    Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI)

    It does note what you are using, but that doesn't bother me at all. It will warn you immediately if you have any program out of date, or End-of life etc.

    I know of a few, but I wouldn't recommend any of them. I just use the Secunia application, and occasionally run the File Hippo check.

    Why "XD" ?

    Perhaps I did not make myself clear. What does "XD" mean?
