    Avery Wizard

    I am attempting to install Avery Wizard 4.0 but apparently there are still traces of 3.1 somewhere because when I try to install 4.0 I get the message "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available, insert Avery 3.1 disk. I have no such disk and the old 3.1 version does not appear in the program removal file, so how can I get rid of this message

    Use this registry scanner;

    RegScanner: Alternative to RegEdit find/search/scan of Windows

    To find all references to Avery in your registry, and then delete them.

    Use this search machine;

    Everything Search Engine

    To find all references to Avery on your machine, and then delete them.

    Reinstall the product.

    Avery Wizard

    I have done all that you suggest without success, I installed the same program on another Win7 computer without a problem but it did not have an earlier version installed. Any more ideas?

    what type of program is it, .exe .msi. etc?

    ( I only have an old version of this which I don't use any more).

    Error installing avery 4.0 Wizard to Office 2010 win 7

    Had the same problem BUT solution for me was:
    1) be SURE that Wizard 3.1.5 IS INSTALLED! It will Not work with Office 2010 but the files MUST be on your computer! I had saved my previous version of Wizard 3.1.5. Not sure where you can download it now.

    DOWNLOAD Wizard 4.0 and SAVE the file!
    RIGHT CLICK the file and Troubleshoot compatibility!
    Use Win 7 settings and install, then save the compatibility settings

    Now I have the Wizard in Word 2010 and accessible!
    One MUST get the Wizard 3.1 MSI file on the hard drive and this sets all files for your use / wizard 4.0's use!
